Our approach
We provide individualized and supportive speech / language therapy, where the first goal is always to connect. We believe that building rapport is the foundation for successful therapy sessions. Our speech and language therapists can support a variety of areas including speech sounds, early language development, gestalt language processing, AAC, reading skills and stuttering. We encourage family involvement and aspire to help you understand your child’s unique abilities.
Play Based Therapy
Supporting your child’s speech and language development through play helps them grow their skills faster and with more confidence. It has been reported that children learn information 20 times faster when it’s incorporated into their play.

Tess Spengler, M.S. CCC-SLP
Tess has been an SLP for 6 years with most of her experience being with school age children. She began Little Connections Speech Therapy in 2024 to better support her community. Her favorite part about being an SLP is seeing those “light bulb moments” happen in real time and watching her clients succeed at growing their skills! She has additional training in play based therapy, Gestalt Language Processing and Orton-Gillingham reading intervention.

Rachael Althoff, M.S. CCC-SLP
Rachael has 13 years of pediatric experience, including being a 1st grade teacher! She is known for her fun personality and engaging sessions. Her favorite part about being an SLP is helping kids find their voice and their confidence when it comes to their speech. She also loves bridging the connection between speech, language and literacy with her training in Orton-Gillingham.
